USS New York: Built from the Ashes of Tragedy and Despair

It was built from the rumble of a tragedy that rocked the nation. It rose from the ashes of death and destruction. It will serve as a memorial to the loved ones that were lost. It will sail the seas to triumph over what was lost and deliver good to protect what is sacred. It is the USS New York, a ship built from the heartache and despair of an assault against our nation.

It took 1 terrorist attack, 6 years, and 7.5 tons of steel from the World Trade Center to create the USS New York, an amphibious transport dock ship. The USS New York was christened at a ceremony in Louisiana on March 1, 2008. READ MORE

Patrick Swayze’s Diagnosis Confirmed By Associated Press

Best know for his roles in Dirty Dancing, Ghost, and Road House, actor Patrick Swayze has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and is currently undergoing treatment. The actors mother Patsy confirmed to E! News that her son is sick but said she did not want to talk about it.
